Teresa Cash-Ferrara
Teresa Cash-Ferrara is an equitation instructor certified by the American Riding Instructor’s Association (ARIA). She has been managing Nativity Riding Academy for the past 7 years after being an equitation/horse trainer initially as an employee, then later an independent contractor for two other commercial riding academies (the former Lakeside Riding Academy and Bethpage Stables) on Long Island for several years before incorporating her own business in 2006. Although apt at teaching beginners in the Western pleasure/trail seat, she mainly enjoys producing riders in the english seats, including mostly english equitation, some jumpers and dressage.
She received a degree in Veterinary Medical Technology from Wilson College and teaches first aid and husbandry for the equine to those students advancing toward horse ownership or interest in related animal science careers. While at Wilson, she took elective courses in Equine Facilitated Therapeutics and gained experience in teaching those with special needs how to ride.
And Most importantly but not pictured here is Pat, the best Organizer, bookkeeper, secretary, grandma and chihuahua owner in the world! She is often the first voice you hear on the phone before coming and the first face you meet on arriving. No one is more bubbly!
